Srinath Bidare

Born in Karnataka in 1960, Srinath Bidare is an alumnus of the Davangere Visual Arts College. He is inclined towards experimentation with exceptional tools, mixed media and surfaces to achieve the desired effects in his works of art. He has been practicing commercial art for over three decades, and creative photography too is his forte. Srinath is also an ardent enthusiast of Hindustani Classical music. He is strongly inspired by music and nature. One can see the innovative spur in his creations, where the artistic understandings appear to be the celebration of material, technical expertise and sequences of portrayals of the physical world or Nature. There is an underlying layer of textures coated by deft strokes of colours highlighting the abstraction. He is a celebrated artist with many prestigious awards to his credit at National and State level, with appreciative connoisseurs of his work, technique and presentation, naming a few like Mysore Dasara Art Exhibition, Karnataka Lalithkala Karnataka and Indian Academy of Fine Arts Amritsar. His work has been selected in 62nd and 63rd National Exhibition 2022/ 2023 by Central Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi. He has participated in many All India and International exhibitions and has to his credit One Man Show of Paintings at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Bengaluru 2010; Exhibition of Drawings and Paintings at ChitraKala Parishath, Bengaluru 2019; Group Show at Venkatappa Art Gallery Bangalore 2016, 2018; Karnataka Lalithkala Academy; Gallery A –Belgrade; National level Art Events at Jaipur, Amritsar, Bhopal among many other places.
